Hedley returns to WFCU Centre April 6, 2016 for their fourth show in Windsor.

The Windsor Family Credit Union is “excited” to have Hedley return to celebrate their sixth studio album, Hello.

The award winning band will make a big return to the WFCU Centre on April 26, 2016.

The concert will also feature special guests Carly Rae Jepsen and Francesco Yates. Tickets went on sale Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets are selling for between $38 and $78, depending on seating.

“Ticket sales are on pace with every other year,” said Mike Noetzal, the WFCU Centre general manager of events. “We’re excited to have them back.”

Hedley got their start in 2003 after bandmate Kevin Heeres placed a $150 bet against the band’s lead singer Jacob Hoggard he couldn’t get past the first round of auditions on Canadian Idol. Hoggard proved him wrong and made it to the final three before being eliminated from the competition. Success was not far off. Only three years later the band wrote and recorded their first album in 2006 entitled Hedley.

The band is well known for their fan-to-band interactions during their concerts.

“Jacob Hoggard staring at me during the song “Perfect” was super memorable,” said Kendre Grant, who attended Hedley’s 2014 concert. “Seeing them live was like falling in love.”

Joining Hedley will be fellow Canadian pop artist Carly Rae Jepsen. Jepsen made her worldwide debut in 2012 with her mega pop hit “Call Me Maybe”. She will join the band to perform songs from her new album E.MO.TION.

“If I don’t sing Call me Maybe at least every night, I’ll be furious.” said Hoggard in a press release.

Though Jepsen is not necessarily a familiar artist with Hedley fans, most are optimistic about her joining the band for the tour.

“I’m looking forward to hearing her newer songs and hopefully getting some new favourite ones,” said Alexandria Rose, who attended Hedley’s 2014 concert at the WFCU. “I do really hope she plays “Call Me Maybe” though. It’s super catchy and I know all the words.”

The band will be performing at 28 arenas across Canada starting in St. John’s, N.L. in early April and will end their tour in Vancouver. The band seems excited to finally be back on the road, sharing their talents with the fans, whose dedicated support has brought them the success they have today.

“Playing live is who we are and going on tour is the ultimate way for us to interact with our fans,” said Hoggard in a press release. “We have amazing fans and can’t wait to share this with them.”
