Highway 3 construction to cause lane closures
Highway 3 continues constructing new lanes from Essex to Kingsville and construction will cause plenty of delays. On Sept. 10, lane closures will start, and an ending has not been decided.
These lane closures will affect daily traffic from the county to the city and make long drives to school or work even longer. With school starting again, it is important to include traffic wait times in your estimated travel time.
“The highway 3 construction going towards Leamington and Kingsville will be great for the future, a safe and faster way to commute to Windsor,” said local student Alex Dasilva. “The timing of the construction isn’t the best for me currently. I just started college and I’m from leamington and now I have to wake up even earlier to make school on time. As the traffic will be slow going to Windsor.”
This construction will make the highways safer and easier to use but the timing is not great for people who use the highway daily for commuting to work/school.
