Holiday Every Day!

April 12 is an International Day of Human Fly to Space.

Do you know who is Yuriy Gagarin? He was the first man to go to space, the Soviet astronaut.

Also this day it is Hamster World Day.

It is believed that hamsters have lived for at least 15 million years, although they were not domesticated until the nineteenth century. This astonishing accomplishment began on April 12, 1930, when biologist Israel Aharoni set out on an expedition to collect Syrian hamsters in a cornfield.

April 13National Scrabble Day

Scrabble of the most popular games in the world. Fun fact – the creator of this game, Alfred Mosher Butts, invented it during the times of the Great Depression. But the idea was denied, so it took more 20 years, for the world to see the game. Now it is so popular that no one can imagine their board games collections without it.

April 14 International Chagas Disease Awareness.

It’s a rare disease discovered by Brazilian physician Carlos Chagas, who found that a parasite can go inside the heart muscle. There are probably thousands of undiagnosed infected people with Chagas disease even in Canada, though this disease has been more of a concern for people in Latin America. Cases of the disease are found through blood donation.

April 15

This day is the day of many holidays, and you can choose what you want to celebrate. Let’s begin it is a World Art Day. I find it spectacularly cool. It’s also laundry day, purple up day and solidarity day for kids whose parents are in the military. But I think the most important day is Titanic Remembrance Day. Today it is good to read more and maybe even watch some documentaries about this unfortunate tragedy.

April 16

On this day you can celebrate national orchid day. Fun fact – in Brazil you can buy this flower in almost every grocery. People usually tie this plant with roots to some of the trees and just leave it because nature will do its job and it will grow, bloom and survive on its own.

April 17International Haiku Day.

A Haiku is a Japanese poetry style. Do you know how to write in this style?

Anybody may compose a haiku poem because of its distinctive form, which consists of five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third.

It was raining

Night was humid and cold off

Now I go to rest

Something like that. Have fun!

April 18International Amateur Radio Day.

This is a day when individuals from all over the world connect using radio waves rather than the internet or cell phones.

This is the main idea behind the annual April 18 International Amateur Radio Day celebration. It commemorates the day the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) was established in Paris in 1925.

April 19International Garlic Day.

One of the most important flavoring ingredients utilized throughout human history is garlic. More than 5000 years ago, in Central Asia, wild garlic was first discovered. Although garlic is now widely used in Mediterranean cuisine, the ancient Romans weren’t very fond of it, however their soldiers did use it as a bravery concoction .
