Sales at the Provincial Chrysler dealership are increasing partly because of the improving economy.

Sales of the Chrysler 200, Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Chargers and Challengers have also been higher in the past.

“Ram trucks are a hot commodity…We are out-selling Ford and GM in Canada, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is also a hot seller,” said Shelley Shanahan, a sales consultant at Provincial Chrysler. “As far as mid-sized are concerned we are neck-and-neck with Ford and GM and sales are picking up thanks to our Chrysler 200.”

According to Shanahan the Dodge Charger and Challenger high performance models are also big sellers and they are awaiting the “Hellcat” version, which is billed as “the quickest, fastest and most powerful sedans in the world.

“We are always introducing exciting new products,” said Shanahan. “The Chrysler 300 is a big seller in the luxury market.”

“The two-door Fiats are considered a cute car, very economical and an excellent commuter,” said Kevin Woods, a sales consultant for Provincial Fiat. “The four door models are catching on. A unique product because there isn’t anything like it in the Fiat/Chrysler fleet. Its not a mini-van, its not a compact car.”

Alfa Romeo will be coming to Windsor in the new year and by spring they should have their first shipment.

Dodge will eventually merge with the Chrysler mini-van and reconfigure the brand with many price points. Currently in the U.S. Chrysler sells more Town and Country mini-vans while in Canada, Dodge sells more Caravans. Chrysler will eventually have mini-vans and sport-utility vehicles built on the Windsor assembly line.

Chrysler has experienced an increase in their market share in the past year. They are currently in the process of confirming a plug-in vehicle.
