The main theme of this event was encouragement and inspiring of future generations.
France shared her drops of wisdom with her students too.
“I would just make sure that they stay focused on their dreams, remember that dream big, and they’re stronger than they think,” said France. “And they can do absolutely anything that they put their mind to it.”
She wanted her students to remember that possibilities are limitless. To focus on their dreams, and be slow and steady. It took her 10 years after her graduation, and even after she went to get her masters. France was not discouraged.
“I thought I needed to do it faster. I needed to take more courses quickly,” said France. “And at the end of the day, I tried, and I couldn’t keep up with everything I was working.”
She was a single mom, and she had a plan, even if it took her longer than most. She encourages students to stay focused on their plan.
“Never give up. And ultimately, if you are determined, you will be successful,” said France.
France said that don’t need be afraid to reach out and ask for help from your friends, your family, and your colleagues.
“I think that Windsor is really good at doing that,” said France . “I asked for help.”
The majestic evening was full of powerful ambience and encouraging speeches from the women of local community.
