Lady Saints bring the playoffs home

The St. Clair College women’s basketball team have earned themselves a home-turf playoff game after two victories in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Lady Saints won against the Sault College Cougars on Saturday, Feb. 16 with a score of 86-44 and followed their victory up with a 76-48 win on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Jana Kucera led both games with a 20.2 points per game average, the fourth highest in Saints’ history. She is ranked as the seventh St. Clair Women’s player to win the OCAA scoring title.

The Lady Saints will host their upcoming playoff crossover game against Seneca College on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the St. Clair College SportsPlex. The winner will progress to the OCAA Provincial Championship tournament hosted by St. Lawrence College in Kingston from Feb. 28 to Mar. 2.
