The last section of the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway is now complete.
The $1.4-billion highway, which first started construction in 2011, will open to the public tomorrow.
“We are pleased to have reached this major milestone,” said Ontario Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca in a media release. “This project created more than 12,000 jobs and helps improve the movement of goods and people in the region.”
The new parkway was built to eventually lead directly to the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
