Learning becomes epic

St. Clair College has provided five steps to improve entrepreneurial skills for students.

The EPIC Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre hosted a workshop on January 22. Called Design Thinking for Beginners, its purpose is to teach students to use design thinking to improve creative confidence and innovative skills.

Cathy Mombourquette is the program manager of the EPIC Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre and one of the presenters of the workshop. She says that the workshop is based on research done by IDEO, a global design company, as well as the Standford School of Design.

“They’ve published a whole toolkit on design thinking for beginners, so we’re going to go over that toolkit,” said Mombourquette.
