Local band performs to fund local charities
A local band will be performing at Caesars Windsor later this month to raise money for local charities.
In collaboration with local charities and food banks, St. Clair College and Caesars Windsor are teaming up with The S’aints for a concert on Dec. 22.
This is their third year presenting the charity concert called “Sleighing Hunger.”
“The money raised will directly benefit our community,” said Ron Dunn, director of community relations of the Downtown Mission told CTV.
“This event is proof positive of the many amazing people in our community who give so freely of their time, treasure and talents.”
The last two concerts have raised more than $85,000 for local non-profit organizations and food banks.
The band is putting their on twist on classic holiday favourites and will be performing songs from their newest album, Hope for Hunger.
They will be joined on stage by other local bands including The Sinners’ Choir, The Horns of a Dilemma, and The Twisted Sisters.
Proceeds from the concert and their holiday CD will benefit the Unemployed Help Centre, Outreach for Hunger in Chatham, The Welcome Centre Shelter for Women, Windsor Homes Coalition and the Goodfellows.
The event is for all ages.
