Lowe’s Canada opens second Windsor location
About 75 full-time jobs and 80 part-time seasonal jobs have been created with the opening of a new Lowe’s store in east Windsor.
Lowe’s invested more than $21.6 million to transform the former RONA store at 7350 Catherine Street into the second Lowe’s store in the city and the 68th in the country.
The 117,600 square-foot store includes 23,800 square feet dedicated to a garden centre.
Local dignitaries and company executives were on hand for the Oct. 18th grand opening.
The company, which employs 28,000 people across the country, donated $5,000 to the Street Help Homeless Centre of Windsor.
