Mamo Burger Bar to appear on The Food Network

Mamo Burger Bar is extending its reach outside the Rose City.

Bubi’s Awesome Eats made its debut on The Food Network five years ago, but now it’s Mamo Burger’s turn.

Mamo Burger already pulls in a high volume of traffic from all over Windsor to indulge in their delicious meals. However, their two locations on Ottawa Street and Manning Road may get a lot busier after The Food Network promotes them on Canadian and U.S. television.

Ryan Odette, owner of Mamo Burger, said he’s worked hard to make his establishment successful.

“Well I think it helps to show there are great restaurants in Windsor and The Food Network is interested in showing these restaurants on their network,” he said.

Mamo Burger’s fans sent in requests to the show to feature the restaurant on The Food Network’s You Gotta Eat Here!  Odette said that’s a humbling and proud feeling.

The show’s host and comedian John Catucci travels all over Canada and the U.S. to scout out new, outstanding places to eat- particularly places that have a stand-out dish and a unique environment.

Mamo Burger waitress Erica Tremblay said she’s excited for the attention the burger joint will get.

“It’ll be a spike in business which is good, and it opens the horizons for everybody to see what we do here and people can come from other places to see because I know we are talked about other than just Windsor,” she said.

Mamo Burger does offer other foods, however it is better known for its popular burgers. Odette said the reason why the burgers at Mamo Burger are so special is because all patties prepared and served are fresh made of fresh beef from Simcoe, Ontario. All of the toppings on the burgers are created within the Mamo Burger kitchen.

Two of the popular burgers which will be featured on the show the Popper and the Daddy Mack Burger.

Tremblay admits her personal favourite is the spicy Popper burger.

Mamo Burger will appear on The Food Network April 15 at 9 p.m.
