Michelle Prince dies following 5-year cancer journey

Michelle Prince, the wife of former Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis, has died following a five-year cancer journey she shared with the public.

“She is our hero,” Francis wrote on her Facebook page. “She celebrated the positives and in doing so she inspired many to do the same.”

After the colon cancer diagnosis in 2014, and recurrences in 2015 and 2016, Prince stayed positive and tried to help others by sharing her experiences on Facebook. 

Mayor Drew Dilkens wrote condolences on his Instagram page.

“She educated and inspired and our community is a better place because of Michelle Prince,” Dilkens wrote.
