Moore scores first OHL goal

Windsor Spitfires second-round pick Ryan Moore scored his first career Ontario Hockey League goal Oct. 3 against the Plymouth Whalers.
Moore gained control of the puck behind the goal line, turned and fired a shot that beat Whalers’ goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic.
“Me getting my first goal is something I’ll never forget,” said Moore. “(Head coach Bob Boughner) preaches getting pucks to the net. I was in a good spot. I just shot it and got lucky that it went in I guess.”
Moore’s first goal came in his fourth regular season game with the Spits.
“I just looked down the bench at (Ty) Bilcke and said, ‘that’s not how I pictured it,’” said Moore.
