Federal New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh was in Windsor Friday to tour downtown businesses.

He stopped by Dr. Disc Records during lunchtime, to talk about his goals and his interest in music.

“I am doing a tour of some downtown businesses. I grew up here in Windsor, and so I have seen some changes. It will be good to see some of the revitalization going on,” said Singh, with Windsor West MP Brian Masse at his side.

Singh’s family moved to Windsor when he was seven years old. He told the small crowd he wants to work in parliament to address the issues of the city.

People gathered around just to get a glimpse of him and to hear his plans for Windsor. Larry Horwitz, chair of the DWBIA, was also on hand.
