New Francis Ford Coppola Movie Flops at Box Office
Francis Ford Coppola, best known for directing The Godfather, has made a new movie called Megalopolis that has surprisingly flopped massively around the globe.
This film, belonging to one of the most famous directors in the world, had high expectations from the public and fans worldwide. However, it ended up being more of a disappointment than an enjoyable experience according to critics on RottenTomatoes.com.
“Not only his worst film… but one of the worst films I have ever seen,” said Youtuber and top film critic, Mark Kermode. “Bloated, indulgent, pretentious and unbelievably dull.”
Spending over $120 million on production, the movie only brought in around $7 million worldwide in box office sales, according to IMDB.com.
This disappointing premiere has left a mark on the director’s name, which can only be salvaged by a new and improved film that satisfies fans and critics alike.
