We are back with week 2 of the NFL season, and this week had shocking upsets, big names expected to miss time and some teams going into panic mode? Find out on this week’s NFL Touchback.

Sept. 12 had a marquee match-up with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills taking on Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins, the 1st quarter was a quiet affair with both teams scoring touchdowns, but in the 2nd quarter the Bills kicked it into high gear with a field goal and two unanswered touchdowns. The Bills beat the dolphins 31-10.

During the game, Dolphins QB Tagovailoa suffered a brutal hit from Bills Safety Damar Hamlin which unfortunately led to a Grade 1 Concussion for the QB, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport gave an update on X about the subject saying, “QB Tagovailoa has no plans to retire, sources say.”

The Baltimore Ravens went into this season as Super Bowl hopefuls but after Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, is there cause for concern? The game itself was an entertaining back and forth battle, both teams showed off their offensive strengths but late in the 4th quarter, Raiders Kicker Daniel Carlson kicked a field goal which practically sealed the deal for a Raiders win. Raiders defeat the Ravens 26-23.

During week ones game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil, Packers QB Jordan Love suffered an apparent knee injury, Love is projected to return in week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams. The Green Bay Packers found a temporary replacement in Malik Willis who will take over until Love returns.  Willis was put to the test on Sunday as the Packers took on the Indianapolis Colts, the game itself was very low scoring with the Packers Running Back Josh Jacobs running for 151 yards. The Packers beat the Colts 16-10 in a relatively quiet fashion.

The Detroit Lions took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week and Detroit couldn’t get past the Buccaneers defense, the Lions only scored 6 points in the first half. The Buccaneers had an overall great game with Quarterback Baker Mayfield having one rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown while throwing for 185 yards. The Buccaneers tame the Lions 20-16.

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets took on the Tennessee Titans this week and Rodgers looked like him old self this week, the 40-year-old Quarterback looked like his old Green Bay self on Sunday throwing 176 yards and two touchdowns, is Rodgers coming back to his old MVP self? The Jets take down the Titans 24-17.

‘Mr. Monday Night’ Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons take on the Philadelphia Eagles for the Monday night game, Falcons QB Kirk Cousins had an outstanding game throwing for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Falcons soar with a 22-21 victory.
