Panda twins on display at German zoo
Twin panda cubs are now on display at Zoo Berlin.
According to Zoo Berlin’s Facebook page, the cubs are the first giant pandas to be born in Germany. The cubs were born on Aug. 31 and have been named Pit and Paule, with Chinese names of Meng Xiang and Meng Yuan.
Zoo Berlin is home to more than 19,400 endangered and rare species.
According to LoopInsight, since 1884, under Chinese law, all giant pandas born outside of China are on loan to the country they were born in.
The cubs became available for public viewing on Thursday.
