Park St W closed until Oct 18

Park St. W. is closed from Ouellette Ave to Bruce Ave. for road repair and water main reconstruction.

The City of Windsor’s construction and detours database indicates that residents affected by the construction sites will have small parts of their lawns dug up in order to connect existing water service to the new water main.

Additionally, the City has warned residents that they should expect a four hour water supply disruption when their existing water service is connected to the new water main.  An onsite ENWIN inspector is scheduled to attempt to notify residents before this four hour shutdown occurs.

“For me personally, the noise doesn’t really bother me at all.” said Kathrine McGrath when asked if the construction has affected her day to day life.  McGrath lives near the intersection of Park St. W. and Church St. where heavy construction is taking place.

According to an on-site worker the repairs are on schedule to be finished some time in October.
