Pedestrian struck by train on Jefferson Avenue

One man has died following a serious train collision.  This collision happened at Jefferson Avenue and South Service Road East Feb. 3 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

A statement from Windsor Police Services indicated the man was wearing earphones, so he may not have heard the approaching train.

Jefferson Avenue was closed by police on their arrival, but reopened at 11 p.m. that day.

An investigation is still underway.
