Pedestrian struck on Ouellette

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Windsor Police Services and Windsor-Essex EMS responded to the intersection of Ouellette and Shepherd for reports of a pedestrian hit. 

Upon arrival, Police found a victim laying in the middle of the roadway. 

The victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. 

Windsor Police tweeted out, “The road closure has now been expanded to Ouellette, being closed from Ellis to Hanna both North and Southbound.”

The closure lasted approximately 6 hours and around 6:30 p.m. Windsor Police reopened the area back up. 

The investigation is ongoing.
