Police blotter Jan. 18
by Rob Benneian
St. Joseph’s Catholic High School went into a temporary lockdown after Windsor Police Service was alerted to a student possibly being in possession of a gun.
The allegation turned out to be false. The Grade 9 student suspected of having the firearm was suspended for a fight that occurred at the school. Another student spread a rumour that the suspended male said he was going to come to school with a gun.
A parent of a St. Joseph’s student heard of the rumour and notified police, who said the boy who was responsible for spreading the story could face criminal charges.
