Police investigating home invasion
The Windsor Police Service Major Crimes Branch is investigating a violent home invasion.
Police say the invasion occurred Nov. 21, at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Francois Road. They responded for a report of a break and enter in progress.
“It was reported that suspects were observed wearing balaclavas and entered a residence. It is believed one suspect brandished a sawed-off shotgun and another suspect had a handgun,” said police.
According to police, a victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and the suspects fled the area in a white Chevrolet Impala.
This incident is not believed to be random and there is no direct threat to public safety.
Police say one suspect has been arrested and two other suspects remain outstanding.
