Popular 70s band shakes up Walkerville Once Again

The Jonas Brothers are not the only band getting back together in 2019. Teaze, a local hard rock band from the 70s, put on a reunion show this past week in Windsor.
The Olde Walkerville Theatre was packed with fans of the band, as well as the band’s family and friends.
Mike Kozak, the bands drummer, sees getting back together as a great opportunity to catch up with each other and the fans
“You kind of fall out of touch with the guys and everything but this is a great opportunity,” said Kozak. “Imagine you were in a band like, a thousand years ago, and having this neat little career that ended and you just went on with your lives with no contact, it’s just kind of cool to get back together and revisit those records and all that little bit of success we had at this ridiculous age.”
Mark Bradac, their lead guitarist, says they hope to tour once again.
“We would really like to go back to Japan,” said Bradac. Teaze became so popular in Japan they recorded a live album there, Teaze In Japan. “We never got to go to England back in the day, and we probably have a cult following in England, so we’re hoping for that.”
Brian Danter, lead vocalist, says staying connected has not been easy for the band.
“It’s good in this capacity to connect over the years,” said Danter. “At first we really had little contact as our lives went in different directions but over the last 8 years, it’s kind of come more together.”
The group performed their hits like Sure Thing, Living on the Edge and On The Loose.
All proceeds from the concert are being donated to the local charity, In Honour of the Ones We Love, an organization helping children battling cancer grow their self confidence through martial arts.
From the turnout alone, it seemed like Teaze left an impression Windsor will never forget.
