Potato Fest to offer up some tasty tubers
Potato Fest, the annual local celebration of that tasty tuber, will come at St. Clair College again Tuesday, Dec. 5.
“Going to St. Clair College was the best thing ever because we work with students there and they do a lot of jobs for us (making) all kinds of potatoes that they could possibly think of, ” said Anita Imperioli, president of In Honour of the Ones We Love, a fundraising organization founded in 1997 for cancer patient care in the community.
This is the 7th annual Potato Fest. The money collected will go to the “Kids Beating Cancer” program that helps children with life- threatening illnesses or special needs.
Visitors have a chance to enjoy this event and eat various foods made with potatoes.
“Let’s trying to do something with potatoes,” said Imperioli.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
