Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announce engagement

Another royal is getting hitched.
The first official photo of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry standing in The Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace shows a happy pair. By choosing the setting for the announcement, Prince Harry shows his love for his mother in the garden which was named after Princess Diana, this year marking the 20th anniversary of her death.
Prince Harry designed the engagement rings with a stone from Botswana incorporating two stones from his mother’s jewellery collection into the setting.
A tweet from Kensington Palace mentions a wedding will take place in Spring of 2018.
Chris Gillette, an actor from the television series Suits, in which Markle starred, says the American-born actress was a joy to work with.
“Meghan was one of those people who were concerned for others. When they shot late in the night she would on her own hire an ice cream truck and provide treats for the cast and crew,” Gillette said. “She said hello to everyone and was very pleasant. She knew every one of her lines backwards and forwards a true professional who never missed a beat.”
Royal watchers around the globe will surely be watching the wedding when it airs live.
