Public invited to city council inaugural meeting tonight

The first meeting of the new 2018-2022 Windsor city council will convene tonight at 7 p.m. in the Chrysler Theatre at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.

New faces at tonight’s meeting will be Fabio Costante of Ward 2, Gary Kaschak of Ward 8, Kieran McKenzie of Ward 9 and Jim Morrison of Ward 10. The other seven people being sworn in tonight were re-elected on Oct. 22.

The swearing in ceremony is open to the public.

Residents can also watch the meeting live via the city’s Facebook page or on YourTV channel 11.

The Taste of Carrousel reception will follow the meeting in the Skyline Alumni Room. It will feature food from seven local ethnic community organizations. Proceeds will benefit the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County.
