.A shooting on Pelissier street left residents of a downtown neighbourhood feeling uneasy last month.

Shots were fired into a home in the 1500 block of Pelissier at 2 a.m. on Oct. 23. Police believe a revenge plot was the motive of this shooting.

Nobody was hurt and two males dressed in dark clothing were seen fleeing from the house.  Neighbours said they were concerned for their safety and wanted to make sure it was taken care of.  Residents say this is the first shooting that has happened in the neighbourhood, but other crimes such as robberies and stabbings have happened.

“I feel safe in the neighborhood because I know the police are looking into taking care of it. I know if I was in an unsafe position police would let me know,” said Mollie Cramp, a resident living nearby. Cramp said she was quite startled in the beginning. Neighbours who were awake during the shooting said they were not happy.

“I thought the bullets were fireworks at first, but when I found out they were guns I was a little uneasy,” said Harley Desmarais, who was visiting a friend during the moments of the shooting.

The following morning police asked neighbours for any footage they might have collected of the suspects. A gun has not been found and Windsor police need help identifying the men involved. As for people living on Pelissier, police say they do not want anyone concerned as the matter is under investigation.
