Some businesses in Windsor are losing confidence in themselves and in Ontario.

The recent hike in minimum wage has not been easy for some businesses to accommodate. One of them is CB Marketing.

“For a small business, … not only is there an increase for myself but there’s an increase for my suppliers and vendors,” said Cynthia Ballard from CB Marketing.

“This translates into increases in prices on their end.”

She said this makes it tough to keep her prices low, since they are a service-based industry.

“The increase that the clients are seeing are from the wage for…employees,” said Ballard.

Ballard is one of the many business owners in Windsor hoping for a solution to pay increased wages and still stay in business.
