Special weather statement issued for Windsor region
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Windsor region on Jan. 28, 2019 — and more cold weather is on the way.
Snow will develop later on Monday morning and persist into Monday night, according to the statement.
Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres is possible by Monday night.
Snow may be mixed with or change to rain for a period of time and there may be an impact on the commute in more urban areas.
Driving may become hazardous due to the reduced visibilities in heavy and blowing snow, according to police.
The weather statement is currently in effect for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton.
