Windsor Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel announced Friday that the club has traded overage left winger Chris Marchese to the Guelph Storm.

Along with Marchese, Windsor also sent its 10th round draft pick in 2017 to Guelph. In return, the Spitfires receive their own third-round pick in 2017, previously traded to the Storm.

Marchese, 20, played parts of three seasons with Windsor, appearing in 87 games, registering 29 goals and 36 assists.

The trade comes just a week after the Spitfires dealt leading scorer Josh Ho-Sang to the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for 17-year-old Hayden McCool and a trio of second-round draft picks (’16, ’18, ’19).
