The Windsor Spitfires are continuing to rise up the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) standings after a hot start.

As of Nov. 29, the Spitfires sit atop the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Western Conference standings. Having played 21 games this season, only losing three in regulation, the Spitfires have a one-point lead with a game in hand from the second place Guelph Storm. They are separated by just three points from sixth place in the competitive Western Conference.

Announced Nov. 28, the Spitfires sit third in the Kia CHL Top-10 spotlight for Week 11 of the CHL season. They sit behind the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The top ten also features three other teams from the OHL with the Ottawa 67s, Oshawa Generals and Guelph Storm rounding out the Top-10.

The Spitfires are being powered by 19-year-old centre and Columbus Blue Jackets prospect, Tyler Angle. Angle has appeared in 21 games and has tallied 28 points, including 14 goals. He is currently riding a three game point streak and has been held off the scoresheet just four times this season.
