Springing into a new season

Tuesday, March 20, marks the first day of Spring Equinox 2018 in the Northern Hemisphere and will begin at 12:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
The equinox is the time when the sun crosses the earth’s equator, making night and day approximately equal in length all over the earth. Autumn Equinox will be September 22 this year.
The weather forecast for today according to Environment Canada will be mostly sunny with wind from the northeast at 40 km per hour and pushing up to 60 km per hour. There will be a high of plus four and a UV index of four. For the rest of the week, starting Wednesday, it will be mainly cloudy with wind from the northeast at 30 km per hour gusting to about 50. There will be a high of plus two. Thursday and Friday you can expect it to be sunny and warming up with a high of seven. Saturday there will be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of plus four.
