St. Clair College April events: Cats, Atelier Fashion Show
Mark your calendars, the month of April will bring two exciting shows featuring Saints’ talents – Cats theatre show and the Atelier Fashion show.
Rehearsals are ongoing for the St. Clair College Music Theatre Performance class as they prepare for the Cats show on April 17 through April 20.
According to Music Theatre Performance Coordinator Kristyn Wiklanski, students of the class will put a modern twist on this classic Broadway show.
“It’s a huge show and the amount of talent it takes to put on a show like Cats is insane,” Wiklanski said. “They are true triple threats — they can sing, dance, act, and they put all of that together in this gorgeous, amazing show. I have done the best job I can to keep the essence of the original musical of cats alive.

The next event is the Atelier Fashion show on April 20. This year, fashion design students will have their 10th annual fashion show.
To celebrate a decade of Atelier fashion shows, Fashion Design coordinator Dee-Dee Shkreli said previous collections of graduates will be showcased at the event. Shkreli said the funds raised from the event will be used to support students’ trips.
“We do still have some regular tickets and half the money that goes to our students fashion Design Club, which pays for them to go on field trips,” Shkreli said. “This year we’ll be going to fashion Art Toronto and that money goes straight to them to cover the cost of their field trips and bus.”
