If you’re a student attending any program at St. Clair College who’s interested in a career in event planning, graphic design, advertising or content creation, you might want to consider joining the St. Clair College Public Relations Club.

So much goes into what we do that the experience comes naturally afterwards from working through it and sharpening our skills. Nothing is off the table as far as what we can do and what we’re willing to work towards. With access to all the equipment and software we need, we can easily accomplish anything we come up with.

Personally, I’ve found joining the club to be a great way to broaden my horizons, network and work outside of the box I had grown accustomed to. As I now find myself the president of the Public Relations Club during an extensive global pandemic, my only hope is that over the course of this year we can help people adapt and overcome.

I think we can all agree that everyone could use a little help right now.

Like most of the world, our economy closing due to Covid-19 halted a lot of our plans earlier this year and left us all feeling like we missed out. At the time, we had no idea what was going to happen but we’re here now and adapting to web-based engagement as future PR Professionals in many ways.

By the end of the year we will still have accomplished working as a team, engaging with our community, promoting local businesses and putting our skills to great use. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can tackle and how we can help our community.PR Club Logo designed by Club President Brad Shank.
