Windsor teens had a chance to show off their art last week.
The Teen Art Show at the Walkerville Art Co-Op on Wyandotte St. E. invited paintings, sculptures, pottery and jewellery from anyone between the ages of 13 and 18.
“We promote the art of teens from Windsor Essex by displaying their pieces here at the co-op.” said Theresa Tremblay, president of the co-op and one of three judges for the show.
Show-goers were also invited to participate by voting for a people’s choice award.
The final judging and reception took place at the Walkerville Art Co-op Sat., Feb. 16 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Dennis K. Smith is a local artist and one of the judges for the art show.
“We saw many nice pieces last year and we hope for the same this year,” said Smith. It’s his second year as a judge.
Prizes ranged from cash, art supplies and a special area at the Co-op for the winning piece to be displayed.
