The Sims Movie produced by EA and Amazon MGM Studios

Electronic Arts (EA) who is the creator of the hit video game called “The Sims” is now producing a movie based on the game.

The Sims is a series of simulations where you control your Sims character, customize houses, talk to other Sims, and create a storyline within the Sims. It’s really a choose your own adventure.  

Each Sims game has a series up to Sims 4 with multiple franchises and sequels. The first Sims EA created was on Feb. 4, 2000. EA wanted to create a game where they wanted players to interact with characters and build a house and create a simulation with humanized life story with never ending tasks.  

The Sims 2 was launched on Sept. 14, 2004. EA added an expansion pack where you can purchase them separately and play a different world of The Sims. You can play it on PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and many more.  

The Sims 3 was launched on June 2, 2009. The game won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Video Game in 2010. It can be played with more platforms such as Android, PlayStation 3, and more. Just like The Sims 2, there is expansion packs where the player can buy them separately from Stream, devices, consoles or where they normally play The Sims.  

Lastly, Sims 4 was launched on Sept. 2, 2014. The new and updated version of The Sims, it’s free to play on Stream and many expansion packs, upgrades, and stuff. Players can only get The Sims 4 on PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Mac adjacent devices.  

The Sims movie is created by EA and partners with Amazon MGM studios starring Margot Robbie who is well known for her big movie hits Barbie, Suicide Squad, The Wolf of Wall Street, and more. It is predicted that they will release or the movie by next year to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Adding their comedy and drama movie genre, it’s time for another video game to turn into a movie.
