As the school year continues, students are becoming more accustomed to learning virtually.  However, it is still difficult to keep up with everything that is happening as the semester comes to a close. The following are a few basic tips to help you continue this journey of online learning.

Firstly, get a planner. This may sound silly or like something you were required to do in elementary school however, it is crucial to staying organized. I have found that personally it is very easy to get lost in the many assignments, quizzes, lectures and tests that we are assigned throughout the semester – and i’m sure i’m not the only one. A very simple way to combat this is to use a planner. This allows you to write out every due date in an organized manner, and it is a super great way to allocate which days you’re working on which assignment.

Secondly, still take notes! For many courses, tests are now open book. This is not however an excuse to stop taking notes during virtual lectures. A big part of taking notes is that you are understanding the content that is being taught as well as putting it in your own words. By not writing out notes during class you are missing an opportunity to comprehend the materials the first go around.

Finally, ask as many questions as possible. This tip also sounds silly but it is super important. Some students do not feel comfortable emailing their teachers about concerns they are having in classes, however it is crucial that you reach out to them for help – that is their jobs after all. If you ever have any questions or concerns about anything relating to school it is vital that you reach out to your teachers for assistance so that they can help you in any way possible.

Hopefully you get some use out of these tips. Good luck to everyone in their studies!
