According to Bloomberg News, Twitter recognized dozens of employees were not targeted after the massive staff cuts.
Elon Musk, who took over as CEO, explained that Twitter’s financial situation was the cause of the $4 million loss the company realizes daily. However, some employees were mistakenly included on the list of layoffs before the company identified the manpower needed for future operation of the company.
New York Times reporter Casey Newton also tweeted “there is a need for a developer for a smartphone inside the company” and that the voice is coming from the Twitter Slack channel.
Twitter recently fired 3,700 of its 7,500 employees. As Musk rushes to launch new features on the social media platform, some of the remaining employees are reportedly sleeping in their offices to meet schedules.
