Two arrests were made Thursday after allegedly bringing guns onto a school property in Windsor.

According to Windsor Police, they identified a residence associated with the suspects and arrested an 18-year-old from Brampton, Ont. as well as an 18-year-old from Windsor without incident.

A police investigation revealed two men in a white Ford Focus had been on school property searching for another student. The two men left the school property before police arrived.

According to Sgt. Steve Betteridge of Windsor Police Services, it is believed this was not a random act.

“Our investigators are satisfied this is not a random incident and we believe it was targeted in regard to another altercation that happened in connection with the school earlier this week,” said Betteridge.

The Brampton, Ont. man has been charged with 11 firearm-related charges and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

A Windsor man has been charged with occupying a motor vehicle in the presence of firearms.

Windsor Police asks anyone with further information to call 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.
