Two charged in Windsor homicide investigation

Two Windsor men have been arrested in relation to a homicide investigation.
On Saturday Sept. 29, 2018 at about 4:10 am, the body of a 37-year-old man was found in a apartment building located in the 300 block of University Ave. Patrol officers confirmed the body displayed obvious signs of trauma.
On Saturday afternoon, Lamar Day, 28, was arrested on the 700 block of Goyeau Street. He is charged with first degree murder and forcible confinement.
Later that day, Raheem Washington, 25, was arrested on the 400 block of Wyandotte Street East. He is charged with first degree murder, forcible confinement and a number of charges related to breaching prior court imposed conditions.
The motivation is not clear so far, and the Major Crimes Branch continues to actively investigate this case.
