Two people treated for minor smoke inhalation after fire in Walkerville
Two people were treated for minor smoke inhalation after the Windsor Fire Department was called out to house fire last Sunday night in Walkerville.
“When the crews arrived they found the fire at the rear access of the door and lot of smoke in the unit. It was pretty quickly knocked down,” said John Lee, chief fire prevention officer. “It was determined to be an accidental fire by some clothing caught fire on some hooks inside the door.”
The people who were at the Richmond Avenue home have since been released from hospital.
The damage is pegged at $5,000.
