The Windsor police Emergency Service Unit (E.S.U) arrested two teenagers while they were allegedly driving a black 2016 Chrysler 200, which was reported stolen from the 600 block of Dynasty Street on Saturday March 16, 2019.
Officers from the Windsor E.S.U spotted the stolen vehicle around 1:00 p.m. while it was heading south in the area of Howard Avenue and Edinborough Street.
Members from Problem Oriented Policing (POP) unit followed the vehicle and safely conducted a vehicle stop and arrested both teenagers.
A 16-year-old man who was driving and his passenger, a 15-year-old, were arrested and are facing charges including possession of stolen property of over $5,000.
“Due to the fact that each accused in this matter is a young officer, he cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act,” said a Windsor police press release.
Both of the men were released later on the promise to appear with a future court date.
