University mourns loss of retired professor
By Amos Johnson
University of Windsor campus flags will be lowered on Monday, Feb. 25 in memory of retired professor Phyllis Nolan, who passed away at the age of 91 on Feb. 14 at Windsor Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Nolan taught at Assumption University and later the University of Windsor in the Home Economics Department and the Human Kinetics Department from 1959 to 1991. She took early retirement to travel and spend more time with her husband, Patrick.
Visitation times will take place at Janisse Funeral Home on Sunday, February 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Donations in her memory to the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation or St. Joseph’s Parish River Canard Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family.
