It was a busy afternoon for the Dougall Avenue polling station.

They had around 230 votes by 4 p.m., with four hours of voting left. Voters streamed in one after the other.

“We want to elect the people we think will do the best job,” said Windsor resident Bob Carr.

Some residents in Ward 3 said that the city is in need of change.

“You can’t complain unless you vote. If you’re living in the city of Windsor or anywhere, it is important to vote,” said Windsor Resident Jane Dokuchic

“You want your voice to count.”

One of the many reasons people vote is because they want to “fix things and make the city of Windsor better,” said Jerry Finnegan.

All polling stations are scheduled to close at 8 p.m. and the results will be posted online shortly after.
