On Oct. 18 the St. Clair Saints men’s soccer team traveled to London to face the Fanshawe Falcons . The Saints battled hard for the entire game but ended up with a 2-1 loss. The loss puts the Saints in third place in the OCAA Western division with 17 points.
St. Clair Saints women’s soccer was a different story. When they travelled to Fanshawe, they came out on top with a 1-0 win. This was the team’s third win in a row and moves them into second place in the division.
The University of Windsor Lancers continue to have a troublesome season with yet another loss on Oct. 14. The Lancers lost to the McMaster Marauders with a score of 29-13. It was their seventh loss of the season. The Lancers have yet to win a game.
Bryce Evon, a golfer for the University of Windsor tied for third at the OUA golf championships. Evon, who shot a two-day tournament score of 144, earned the recognition of OUA all-star.
NHL
The Toronto Maple Leafs played back-to-back games on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18. The first game was a rematch against the Washington Capitals. The Leafs came out strong, stayed strong and won 2-0. They followed the next night with an impressive 6-3 win against the Detroit Red Wings. Wings’ goaltender Jimmy Howard was pulled after the Leafs scored three goals on their first four shots.
