WIFF 2018 gets bigger every year

The 14th annual Windsor International Film Festival sold over 24,000 tickets this year.

The seven-day event runs from Monday to Sunday featuring over 100 films and over 200 screenings.

The festival takes place at three venues in downtown Windsor: the Capitol Theatre, the Chrysler Theatre and the University of Windsor School of Creative arts.

Jeff O’Brien, a board member for WIFF, said attendance gets bigger every year.

“The target is to make sure we have quite a lot of international films, that we have Canadian content, French-Canadian content and the spirit of independent films,” said O’Brien.

WIFF 2018 promises to be the biggest and most exciting festival yet. The festival features stand-out films, special guests such as famous Hollywood icons, said organizers.

Organizers are working to make the festival the largest volunteer film festival in Canada.
