WIFF all year long
Local film buffs now have even more movies to watch as the Windsor International Film Festival is expanding.
WIFF 365 will showcase all the best of films of the 2017 festival well into 2018. The showings will kick off on Thursday Jan. 11 and movies will continue to be shown on the second Thursday of every month.
The series will start with two films. The first, Loving Vincent, was a sellout at WIFF this year and won the LiUNA People’s Choice Award. It is the world’s first fully painted feature film. The other film is Breath, a biographical drama film. It stars Andrew Garfield and tells the 1958 story of a man who became paralyzed from the neck down by polio at age 28.
According to its website, WIFF is a cultural, not-for-profit organization that celebrates the art of cinema by showcasing Canadian and international film and filmmakers.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at windsorfilmfestival.com or on the day of the showing at the Capitol Theatre Box Office.
