WIFF Alley unveiled to public

The Windsor International Film Festival and local community partners unveiled WIFF Alley Nov. 1.

The alley, located in front of Phog Lounge along University Avenue W. was beautified by artists Denial Bombardier, Derkz, and Kristina Bradt. 

WIFF executive director Vincent Georgie said the transformation of WIFF Alley happened organically.

“Our audience was cutting through this alley … it got us thinking it’s a good idea [to do something with it],” said Georgie. “It’s a corridor for arts and entertainment.”

Georgie said the WIFF team hopes the area will become an entertainment district.

“We want to support this community and its effort to make this area an entertainment district,” said Georgie. “It’s something people can enjoy any time of the year because we are beautifying the space. It’s a permanent contribution to downtown.”
