Windsor Aces defeated by Renegades

The Windsor Aces are a new hockey team in the Greater Metro Hockey League.
The team began its season in September, starting off a 42-game schedule at Adie Knox Arena in Windsor. The GMHL was founded in 2006 as a Canadian junior hockey program with seven teams. More than 20 teams are now part of the GMHL.
The Aces’ season got off to a rocky start, as the team was forced to cancel its game against the Kingsville Kings on Oct. 8 due to poor ice conditions, resulting in a forfeit loss.
This week, the team took to the ice to battle against the North York Renegades on Sunday afternoon. The Renegades defeated the home team 8-6, although Windsor attempted more shots on goal.
All three stars of the game came from the North York team, awarded to the goal-scoring trio of Steven Santos, Chris Martin and Jonathan Schillaci.
Windsor plays again on October 21, taking on the Bradford Bulls.
