Windsor among fastest-growing cities in Canada

Windsor is the third-fastest growing city in Canada, according a 2019 Statistics Canada report that attributes the growth spurt to a 2.5 per cent population increase.
Including Windsor, Tecumseh, LaSalle and Amherstburg, the area has a combined population of over 400,000 residents.
The population has risen since the 2011 census, from 319,246 people to 329,144. Other cities to make the list included Peterborough with a 3.1 per cent increase, Kitchener Waterloo with 2.6 per cent increase, and Oshawa which tied Windsor at 2.5 per cent.
